Discover a unique process for building large organic forms using small pieces of flat wood. Put aside the traditional notion of starting with a log and open your eyes to a different approach. Learn how to safely use hand carving tools (gouge, rasp, file, scraper, etc.) and power tools ( angle grinder, die grinder, jointer, circular saw, band saw etc.). Peter will also share his innovative glue-up techniques for joining random pieces of wood without clamps. Each student will start by making a large centerpiece style bowl and then have time to adapt the process to projects of their own design. All levels welcome.
