Exhibition:
Human Figure Furniture
August 29 - December 2, 2018
@ HUB-Robeson Galleries
Keunho Peter Park's functional wood works elevate and celebrate the meaningful spaces in the home. In this selection of works made between 2012 and 2017, Park takes inspiration from the beauty of creature and human forms, emphasizing the important roles that functional objects, such as furniture or musical instruments, play in our lives.
The HUB-Robeson Galleries are committed to the enrichment of the Penn State collegiate experience and believes exposure to the visual arts is part of having a well-rounded education. The mission of the Galleries is to bring diverse and contemporary exhibitions created by students, emerging, and professional artists to the entire University community. The programs of the Galleries are dedicated to the inclusiveness of all national and international cultures, artists, and art forms. Our purpose is to bring educational experiences to students beyond the classroom while emphasizing an understanding and appreciation of the visual arts and its role in society. Exhibitions are presented in highly visible and heavily trafficked locations throughout the campus, so that the arts can become an integral part of the daily life experience.
